Chapter Challenge (Down)

We're heading to Lynchburg for the 2024 Virginia HOG Chapter Challenge. Apparently you can get there by just taking Route 28 to Route 29 South, but where would the fun be in that?

After following Route 28 for just 5 miles (sorry), our first leg follows back roads to Culpeper. More scenic roads lead to our second gas stop in Charlottesville, while byways then take us to just north of Amherst, where we get on Route 29 for 25 miles (okay, so we lied a little - but this is a scenic section of Rt. 29) to our ride's official end point, the Comfort Inn & Suites Lynchburg Airport (15001 Wards Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502).

After checking in at the hotel, MHOG members will no doubt want to ride 10 minutes over to Lynchburg Harley-Davidson for the Bike Night they are hosting for Challenge participants from 6 to 8:30 pm. ON3 will provide live music (no, we haven't heard of them either), Ray's Burgers and Grill Food Truck will offer vittles, and there will be a beer garden as well (thus explaining why this is not part of the Chapter-sponsored ride). They'll even have a bike lights show later.

NOTE: Be sure and bring cash for the food truck at Lynchburg H-D's Bike Night on Friday evening and your national HOG membership card (plastic or digital) for the Challenge sign-in on Saturday morning.
